Exhausted from work and dinner, I clipped my hair up, lit a Mango Jasmine candle and began filling up my tub with Kiehl’s Lavender Bath Bubbles. The next hour of my night was spent absolutely relaxed in the tub with Amos Lee playing on Pandora… I could’ve died in there, it was just so relaxing. I really appreciate times like these because how often is it that any of us have even just an hour to ourselves? I feel like I’m always around others and there’s never enough time to be alone with my own thoughts. I really hope to make more time like this for myself at least once a week.
“…but who can say what’s best? That’s why you need to grab whatever chance you have of happiness where you find it, and not worry about other people too much. My experience tells me that we get no more than two or three such chances in a life time, and if we let them go, we regret it for the rest of our lives.”—Haruki Murakami (via 52hearts)
I think I want to take up photography. I’d especially love to take great photos of food, since I love food very very much. What camera should I start with? I have a pink Olympus Stylus at the moment that I’ve used for a few years but I think its time for an upgrade. :) I’m super excited to start looking into cameras… hopefully I’ll have some extra time to enroll in a photography class, can’t wait!! :)
Halloween is finally here… oh dear. I’m no where close to being ready to wear a skimpy little costume… this will take a miracle.
Has anyone else fallen absolutely in love with this weather? The cloudy skies, misty air, and spontaneous raindrops makes my heart skip a beat and takes me back to old black&white films taken place in Paris with my fav, Humphrey Bogart. As I write this post, I’ve brought with me a hot cup of Godiva’s hazelnut coffee and have wrapped myself in a big warm blanket. I only wish I could sit in this big comfy chair for the rest of the day but the reality is that I need to get my butt to work in about an hour. :T But I definitely enjoyed my day, waking up in the afternoon to a sea of blankets and pillows encompassing my body on my wonderfully full sized bed. I’ve helped myself to a huge serving of Whole Wheat Cheerios with strawberries, bananas, and peanuts (my new favorite cereal concoction!) all the while enjoying the lastest episode of Gossip Girl.
Side note: Last night, Miles and I happened to end up at Four Leaf in Little Tokyo after our favorite Mikawaya had closed for the night. Four Leaf is a cute little cafe/bakery (with free WiFi!) with lots of yummy desserts and teas to try. Miles had their hot almond milk tea with a Red Velvet Cheesecake and I had a Snow White Crepe, filled with apple cobbler, vanilla ice cream, and pie crust- YUM! I definitely suggest checking our Four Leaf if any of you happen to be in Little Tokyo.
